Personalised ceremonies can be officiated by registered celebrants. They are the perfect option if you want a ceremony that captures YOUR love story.
We will work together to create a ceremony that suits your needs. I will provide resources for guidance - including support writing your vows. You will be able to contact me throughout the process via the ‘My Celebrant’ app, phone or email, and if you would like to, we can also have a catch up via video call or at a local café. I will help you to apply for a marriage licence and ensure that legal requirements are met.
Your ceremony can be held on a weekday or weekend, including public holidays. You need to provide photo identification, the venue, two witnesses, and can have any number of guests (intimate elopement, small ceremony or every-person-you-know shindig!).
I am available for ceremonies within the immediate Christchurch area and am willing to travel (there will be a cost for travel and accommodation where required for ceremonies further afield). On your special day, I will arrive half an hour before the ceremony begins, and stay until after the congratulatory handshakes and cuddles. Rehearsals are included in this package (subject to availability).

SIMPLE personalised CEREMONIES

For short, sweet and legal ceremonies with the option to write your own vows - the ‘middle ground’ between a registry ceremony and a personalised ceremony.

I will provide a choice between two set scripts. I will provide guidance if you would like to include readings, and choose to write and include your own vows - however, this package option does not include variation of script (e.g. will not include your personalised love story). I will help you to apply for a marriage licence and ensure that legal requirements are met. You will be able to contact me throughout the process via the ‘My Celebrant’ app, phone or email.
Your ceremony can be held Sun-Thurs, and not on public holidays. $50 surcharge for Fri-Sat. You need to provide photo identification, the venue, two witnesses, and can have up to 50 guests.
I am available for ceremonies within the immediate Christchurch area. On your special day, I will arrive half an hour before the ceremony begins, and stay until after the congratulatory handshakes and cuddles. Rehearsals are not included in this package.

For short, sweet and legal ceremonies. No longer held in the courthouse, registry ceremonies are provided only by Validated Members of CANZ (Celebrants Association of NZ) - including me!
I will a set script with standard vows from BDM (Births, Deaths and Marriages), and ensure that legal requirements are met. No variation of script or vows is permitted.
You cannot book your registry ceremony with me more than 3 months in advance. You need to allow at least 3 working days for your marriage licence to be processed.
When you apply for your marriage licence online, you will have the opportunity to select a celebrant based on the location you would like for your ceremony. I am available for registry ceremonies in Christchurch within 10 minutes of my home (in New Brighton).
Registry ceremonies must be held between 9am-5pm on a weekday, not weekends or public holidays. I will arrive 5 minutes before your chosen ceremony time and spend approximately 20 minutes with you.
You need to provide photo identification, the venue (cannot be a wedding venue or function centre, bar/restaurant or hotel), two witnesses and can have up to 10 guests. There is a set fee of $90.
Please note that you cannot involve other parties in a registry ceremony e.g. wedding planner, MC, professional photographer, videographer, groom’s/bridal parties.
